For the fifth year, Absolut vodka partnered with Visi magazine to host the annual 'Oscars' of the design world, the 2011 Absolut Visi Designer of the Year Awards recently. The award ceremony and glitzy party rocked the Chavonnes Battery Museum at the V&A Waterfront, where international trends forecaster Li Edelkoort announced architects, Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens, as the 2011 winners, for their work on the Braamfontein precinct in Johannesburg.
