A group providing value conscious mass markets in Southern Africa and creating opportunities and comfortable lifestyles, through its diversified retail and consumer finance businesses are in search of a data engineer with the capabilities of utilising data, machine learning, statistical and mathematical models to solve business problems and enable the effective use of data by utilising cutting-edge technologies and model data preparation.
Responsibilities: - Build statistical models
- Manage the development of credit policies, credit queues and affordability analytics
- Define strategy to enable business use of predictive models
- Manage controls to enable risk monitoring
- Implement processes to ensure Bureau and industry analytics are conducted
- Implement, monitor and validate the effectiveness of the models
- Monitoring/calibration of models
- Effective self-management and teamwork
Qualifications:- Degree in computer science/ engineering/ mathematics/ business commerce/ information technology
